While the other cultists try to find Cole and Phoebe, Melanie pretends to be drunk infront of her own father Juan and Cole's father Archie, as the two go looking for the lost kids. Pheobe and Cole however escaped on a speed boat, much to Melanie's frustration. She also reveals that she has revived the satanist cult from the previous film, including Bee, in order to preform a ritual and gain immortality. She reveals Cole that she now wants to kill him, since she signed a contract with the devil in order to have more followers on Instagram. Melanie at first does not confess her involvement in these satanic crimes, but then she mentions the book of Satan, and after that she reveals her true colors and kills Boom-Boom. They have a party on the boat and all of a sudden, while Phoebe isn't in the room, the trio start speaking about their plans to become satanists with Melanie's help. Later, Melanie and Cole go with Jimmy and their two other friends, Boom-Boom and Diego on a boat. However, Cole found a new love interest called Phoebe, who was also babysitted by Bee once. Cole however managed to get some spare time with Melanie, as the two have kissed each other. However, by now Jimmy was her new boyfriend. After many years, they have eventually reunited as she became a student at his school. Melanie was Cole's childhood love interest and best friend. She is a satanist girl who attempts to kill Cole and sacrifice his soul so that in return, Satan could give her more followers on Instagram. Fame Seeking Satanist Melanie is the deuteragonist of the 2017 Netflix slight horror film The Babysitter, and she becomes the main antagonist of The Babysitter 2: Killer Queen.
